Qualifying for an H-2B Visa
The H-2B visa is for an international petitioner who is offered a position by a US employer for a temporary, specified duration of time.
The employment must be a one-time need based upon low U.S. worker availability, seasonal or cyclical needs.
H-2B Visa Issues
Petitioner may request admission for spouses and children for a duration equal to that of the principal in H-4 status. Dependents may enter upon showing proof of immediate relation and admissibility. Dependents may not engage in employment. Dependents may attend school or college.
Bundled Rates for Multiple Employees
H-2B’s may be petitioned with multiple employees. Velie Law Firm can quote bundled rates.
Your H-2B Visa Extension
Once approved an H-2B Visa is good for the length of the TLC for a maximum of one (1) year; however, in practicality the seasonal nature of the position must be significantly less than a year.
An H-2B visa may be extended for a maximum of three years in seasonal increments. Upon reaching completion of the maximum stay, the immigrant must depart the U.S. for at least six (6) months.
Select Velie Law Firm to assist you in renewing your H-2B visa and receive the same quality of service given to first-time H-2B visa applicants.
If you initially chose Velie Law Firm as your H-2B attorney the process may even be quicker. We maintain records and visa applications for all our clients. Renewing your H-2B visa would require updating your information, qualifications to properly submit your H-2B visa extension application.
